So it's been crazy since I got back from Abilene and I have tons of pictures but before I can do that I need to do some actual work ;) I've gotten most of my Christmas shopping done but need to get a few more things for the people I have to mail their presents. My sister's birthday is this Saturday, along with one of my very good friends I got to see in Abilene this weekend~

Happy Birthday Kirsten & Debbie!

Anyways my sister is going to be 26 and that is just crazy to me because that means I am going to be 29 next month and then next year~my 30's! I don't think I ever thought I would get to my 30's cause that was the age for mom's and people who had full time jobs. Well I'm not a mom yet, but I do have a full time job!

So when I get to dowloading my pictures I will tell you guys about my Abilene trip!

Thanksgiving

So I know I haven't posted in a few days but I have really been trying to figure out this blogging thing..and how to post pictures. So now that I have downloaded my pictures from Thanksgiving I am going to try to post them and see what happens!

Her we go: Forgive me if it looks a mess~Kirsten I may need some Blogging 101 this weekend!

James is holding Baxter, my sister's dog and Im holding Rascal~Thanks Mel and Liz for finding him!!! And my dad is obviously not ready for the picture :)

Debbie is an avid UT fan so of course we watched the UT/A&M game where sorry~aggies got slaughtered! She also bought a UT shirt for Baxter..he was not happy about the shirt, but it made for a cute picture!

This is when we went to pick up James' mom and step-dad and drove them to his grandma's house. We ate brunch at a very nice restaraunt after church!

OK~so hopefully this didn't come out too bad BUT tomorrow I leave for Abilene where I will meet up with some of my very dear friends from ACU for a reunion. I am super excited and hopefully will have learned more about how to put a slide show on here so you can enjoy my pictures from this weekend!

Back to work

I had a fun time with my dad and sister being in town! Debbie and I spent most Thanksgiving morning cooking, which everything turned out great! Then spent the rest of the evening watching football~Dallas and UT. I was not excited about watching football but it was nice being all together :). Friday we took them around town. Saturday Debbie and I went to the mall and looked around..didn't get any Christmas shopping done! Sunday I was planning on relaxing and going to the gym but me and afriend went to Michael's and I went Christmas decoration crazy..I will have to take some pictures because I'm very proud of my desire to decorate for holidays!

So now...after 4 1/2 days of not worrying about the kids in my program I'm back at work and surprisingly..everything went well over the Thanksgiving break!

Wednesday, November 26, 2008

So I would like to say I am officially stressed about this upcoming Thanksgiving. I have about 5 hours of work to get done in about...well 2 hours now (our Judge let us off at noon today~how nice!), I still have not gone grocery shopping (which Wal-Mart will be a nightmare), my house is a wreck~hopefully dad and Debbie won't mind :), and I'm frantically trying to think of presents to get family..I have become the last minute shopper, which every year I tell myself I will not do that next year.

I'm sure once my family gets here this evening I will be able to relax and hopefully enjoy my time once they are here. I hope all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving and remember to give thanks to all you have been blessed with :)

New blog!

So I noticed I had a follower~Thanks Kirsten! And even though James and I don't have kids you guys can read about, I figure stuff still goes on in our lives that we can update our friends and family on. So hopefully this blog will be just that!

James and I drove to Arkansas this past weekend and picked up his mom and step-dad. Then we drove to northern Arkansas and spent the night with his grandma. If I get a hold of James' computer I will post a picture. It was a short trip but nice to see family. I am looking forward to Wednesday because my dad and sister will be here to spend Thanksgiving with us. I've been In LA for a little over 4 years and this will be my dad's first visit so I'm excited to show him around!
